Ryan Martin has a comprehensive practice focusing on advertising, media, sports and entertainment, representing advertising and media agencies, as well as some of the nation’s most prominent advertisers and entertainment platforms, in executing innovative consumer campaigns. With extensive transactional experience advising clients at every point in the content creation, development and distribution process, Ryan is a trusted business-focused advisor offering practical and creative guidance.

Ryan has extensive experience in all facets of advertising law, including broadcast and digital production, intellectual property clearance, claim substantiation, music licensing, and the negotiation of celebrity and influencer talent services, with deep SAG-AFTRA expertise. He regularly handles branded entertainment development and supports product integrations for feature films and television series.

On the sports and entertainment front, Ryan regularly negotiates cutting-edge sponsorship agreements and naming rights deals on behalf of both sports and entertainment properties and sponsors. He also offers legal support to talent, musicians and athletes in negotiating brand deals. In particular, Ryan has worked with numerous professional wrestlers to negotiate top-tier booking agreements with leading sports entertainment companies.

Beyond his work in sports and entertainment, Ryan is well-versed in media and digital marketing, often handling media agency and technology agreements, including media buying, planning, placement and data-driven marketing, and he has counseled media and advertising clients on various consumer privacy laws since their inception. He provides strategic counsel on SaaS and PaaS agreements, programmatic advertising services and cloud-based platforms.
